Here at Rebuilding the Breach Ministries, we’re proud to reflect on the strides made in 2023 to enhance the lives of the women at Lydia House. With the generous support of donors and grants from the city of Gary, we’ve continued our mission to improve the living standards for those staying with us.
Our commitment to providing a warm and welcoming environment remains steadfast. However, one area still in need of attention is our room flooring. As we strive to create a place that truly feels like home, replacing the cold and uninviting floors is essential to achieving this goal.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, we’ve achieved significant milestones in 2023. Upgrades to the boiler and air conditioning systems, along with the replacement of windows and a new water heater, have significantly improved the comfort and safety of Lydia House. Additionally, our kitchen and bathrooms underwent upgrades to better serve those in need.
As we embark on another year of serving our community, we’re excited to announce the launch of our Donation Drive for new room flooring. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of those staying at Lydia House, providing them with a more comfortable and inviting space to call home.
We’re immensely grateful for the support of grants, such as the Emergency Shelter Grant – Covid (ESG-CV), which have been instrumental in funding essential repairs and operating expenses. Without the generosity of our donors and the assistance of local government, our work would not be possible.
